Bwala Reveals Why The North Fully Embraces Tinubu’s Leadership Style
Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has refuted claims by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, that Northerners are plotting to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Lawal had recently accused Tinubu of sidelining the North by excluding the region from key federal projects. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, he alleged that some prominent northern politicians have already formed a forum to address the region’s grievances and strategise for the next election.
However, appearing on the same programme on Wednesday, Bwala dismissed Lawal’s assertions, insisting that Northerners are “extremely comfortable” with Tinubu’s style of governance.
According to him, the president is actively addressing both immediate and long-term challenges in the region. “Northern Nigeria is extremely comfortable with the governance approach of Mr President,” Bwala said. “He is solving problems that have existed for a long time as well as those of the moment. You can see conscious efforts by the president through various policies.”
When asked whether the presidency takes Nigerians’ complaints about hardship seriously, Bwala maintained that “things are already getting better.”
He further stressed that there is a clear difference between the genuine concerns of citizens and the political agenda of opposition parties, which, he claimed, are frustrated by the progress and performance of Tinubu’s administration.
