Daddy Freeze praised the President’s initiatives, noting that they have given Nigerians a renewed sense of hope. He urged citizens to remain patient with Tinubu’s administration, emphasizing that the country’s deep-rooted challenges will take time to resolve.
During an interview on Nigeria Info FM, Lagos, Daddy Freeze expressed his thoughts, saying, “With President Bola Tinubu, I don’t think Nigeria is in trouble. Initially, I was scared, but I’m seeing the progress being made in the power sector.
“Nigeria is like a heavily loaded tipper with a faulty engine. Any leader or ‘mechanic’ that takes on the challenge will face difficulties. The leadership is that mechanic.
“Nigeria has numerous problems, and expecting one government to instantly fix everything is somewhat unrealistic. I had my doubts at first, but considering how this administration has handled things so far, I’m beginning to feel hopeful again.”
In a separate development, Nollywood actress and filmmaker Azeezat Shorunmu has revealed that her involvement in scriptwriting has helped her avoid unwanted advances and sexual harassment from male producers.
Speaking with Sunday Scoop, Shorunmu noted that many individuals fall victim to harassment when they become overly ambitious for fame and quick wealth. She credited her focus on creativity and staying true to herself as key to maintaining control over her career and avoiding exploitation.
“In the film industry, desperation for fame, success, or quick wealth can make one vulnerable to sexual harassment. I was fortunate to steer clear of that path by remaining grounded and adhering to my principles. This approach gave me a voice and allowed me to choose my roles and projects independently,” Shorunmu shared.
She also reflected on her acting journey, noting that the challenges she faced helped her grow creatively and build meaningful connections. Shorunmu believes these experiences have significantly shaped her personal and professional life, imparting valuable lessons along the way.
