General Musa issued this directive during the conclusion of the inaugural Defence Headquarters Joint Task Force Commanders Conference, held under the theme “Towards Enhancing Joint Task Force Operations for National Security” in Abuja on Saturday.

He emphasized that this directive aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s orders to the armed forces and other security agencies to decisively address all threats to national security.

“I urge you to maintain your focus, dedication, and commitment to ensuring that we fulfill the President’s mandate that no terrorists, bandits, or criminals should escape justice,” General Musa stated.

He highlighted that the conference provided an opportunity to discuss operational challenges, share experiences, and lessons learned, as well as collectively plan for the future. General Musa expressed confidence that the knowledge acquired, relationships established, and ideas generated during the conference would significantly enhance the effectiveness of ongoing joint operations.

Unity of effort was emphasized as a key takeaway from the discussions, with General Musa stressing the importance of cooperation, collaboration, and synergy among the armed forces. Addressing identified operational challenges and reforming operational structures were commitments made by General Musa to ensure operational effectiveness in all theatres of operation.

He highlighted the need for continuous assessment and improvement in military strategies, tactics, and capabilities to effectively counter evolving threats. Embracing new technologies, fostering innovation, and promoting a culture of learning were deemed essential for maintaining operational excellence.

Lastly, General Musa emphasized the significance of building and maintaining strong relationships with the communities served, acknowledging that local trust and support are critical in countering insurgency, terrorism, and other security challenges.
