Datti Makes Bold Revelation About Peter Obi, Says I Could Have Helped Him Out in Benue

Former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate Datti Baba-Ahmed has stated that his relationship with Peter Obi remains strong despite the fact that both politicians are now associated with different political platforms.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Baba-Ahmed made the disclosure during an appearance on the Naija Unfiltered Podcast, where he described Obi as his “boss” and maintained that their political differences have not affected their personal relationship.

The former vice-presidential candidate said he remains close enough to Obi to reach him directly and receive a response, stressing that their relationship goes beyond party affiliation.

Baba-Ahmed recalled the recent incident in Benue State involving Obi’s convoy during the former Anambra State governor’s planned humanitarian visit to Yelwata. He suggested that he could have offered assistance if Obi had contacted him.

According to him, Obi is someone he can still call directly and communicate with without difficulty, describing their bond as solid despite their current political differences.

Baba-Ahmed further expressed surprise that Obi did not contact him following the incident in Benue, insisting that he could have intervened or provided assistance if he had been informed.

He said Obi was aware of his willingness and ability to help, adding that their relationship remained intact regardless of their political affiliations.

The comments come amid growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general election, with several former allies and political figures now operating under different parties and platforms.
