In a decisive ruling on Friday, November 24, the Court of Appeal upheld the election victory of Sheriff Oborevwori as the governor of Delta State. This affirmation comes nearly two months after the Delta State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal had previously validated Oborevwori’s win. The tribunal, led by Justice C.H.
Ahuchaogu, dismissed the petition filed by Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Congress (APC), ruling that it lacked merit and was based on unsubstantiated and speculative allegations. The judgment solidifies Oborevwori’s position as the duly elected governor of Delta State.
