Expressing his thoughts, Bwala stated, “The confidence with which my friend Philip Shaibu is talking about defeating Gov. Obaseki’s choice is instructive. Philip Shaibu most likely will secure the Governorship ticket of the party ahead of the Edo elections. He is also a strong grassroots fella. Congratulations to Philip in advance.”

Bwala’s remarks highlight the evident self-assurance exhibited by Shaibu during his Arise TV interview this morning. In the interview, Shaibu outlined his candidacy and addressed potential competitors, stating, “”Ogbeide Ihama from Edo South, Anslem Ojezua from Edo Central, and I from Edo North. Asue told me he’s not contesting.”

The anticipation surrounding Shaibu’s candidacy is palpable, and Bwala’s congratulatory message in advance underscores the belief in Shaibu’s ability to secure the PDP Governorship ticket. As the political landscape in Edo State evolves in the lead-up to the elections, Shaibu’s strong grassroots support and his strategic positioning within the party are identified as key factors contributing to his potential success.
