In terms of security, Nigeria has faced several challenges during Buhari’s presidency. The country has been battling an insurgency in the northeastern region by the Boko Haram terrorist group, which has led to widespread displacement and loss of life. The government has also been grappling with a rise in communal violence, particularly between farmers and herders.

Economically, Nigeria has faced some difficulties during Buhari’s presidency. The country has experienced a recession and inflation has risen. However, the government has implemented policies aimed at diversifying the economy and reducing dependence on oil, which has historically been Nigeria’s main source of revenue.

Overall, opinions on President Buhari’s performance are divided. Some Nigerians believe he has made progress in addressing corruption and improving security, while others feel that the government has not done enough to address the country’s challenges.

Recall that the last eight years of Buhari were not favourable to the common man as he placed more emphasis on infrastructural development while the economy was steadily going down. The inflation rate is over 22% as we speak, One dollar = 750 nairas, the unemployment rate is over 50% and many more which destabilized Nigeria.

Although when it comes to infrastructure Buhari remains the best since 1999 as he has revived Ajoekuta which was shredded by 16 years of PDP, the Second Niger bridge, so many Dams, paid out salaries and pensions, built the largest warship for the naval and many more.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has what it takes to turn Nigeria around the same way he did in Lagos if we are ready to work with him and patient to see his good works. Recall when Tinubu met Lagos they were making over 600m as GDP, and he left with over 6 billion as GDP currently Lagos is seating on 120 billion+ GDP which is three times higher than that of Ghana.

Social Media Critic Shehu Sani took to his Twitter handle to share the downfall of Nigeria under Buhari.

“The President is leaving behind 77trillion naira debt,133million poverty stricken people,25m people at the risk of hunger according to Unicef,10m out of school children, mass killings and kidnappings on a daily basis;yet he said he has delivered on the Change he promised.”
