Drama As Wike Sends Cryptic Message To Fubara During Reconciliation Visit

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has called on politicians to remain generous and remember the people whose support contributed to their political success.

Wike made the appeal during a political gathering in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he hosted Governor Siminalayi Fubara during a visit to his residence.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the former Rivers State governor stressed that political success is largely dependent on the sacrifices and support of the people, urging leaders not to turn their backs on those who helped them attain their positions.

Wike described politics as a sacrifice and advised politicians to remain open-handed in supporting their followers and constituents.

He maintained that neither he nor other political leaders could have attained their current positions without the backing of the people.

The FCT Minister said politicians should therefore recognise those contributions by extending support and opportunities to the people who stood by them during their political journeys.

The remarks came as Fubara paid a courtesy visit to Wike at his residence in Port Harcourt on Sunday.

Fubara was accompanied by Dr Sam Sam Jaja during the visit, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Rivers State, Kingsley Chinda, and former governorship candidate Senator Magnus Abe were among those who received the governor.

The visit has attracted attention given the history of political differences between Wike and Fubara, who served as his successor as Rivers State governor.

The meeting also brought together prominent political figures in the state, fuelling further interest in the evolving political relationship between the former governor and his successor.
