During an appearance on Adeola Fayehun’s YouTube program, Akuwudike claimed the activist is part of a deliberate campaign orchestrated to undermine individuals who challenge or criticize the Senate President.
Obinna further alleged that the activist privately confided in him, revealing that her activities were funded and politically influenced by the wife of Senator Akpabio. He disclosed that he received a payment of ₦2.5 million from the activist to produce a series of videos intended to tarnish Senator Natasha’s reputation.
As the project progressed, Obinna said he began noticing contradictions in the activist’s narratives and realized that the content he was being asked to create was inconsistent and seemingly part of a larger blackmail operation.
“It became evident to me that this was a calculated blackmail plot,” Obinna stated, highlighting that many of the activist’s claims, including an allegation that Senator Natasha privately denied sexual harassment accusations against Akpabio, were completely false.
He also refuted another of the activist’s assertions — that Dr. Oby Ezekwesili was paid to testify before a Senate panel — describing it as baseless and fabricated.
According to Obinna, the ultimate goal of the campaign is to shield Akpabio from scrutiny while discrediting outspoken female leaders and members of civil society who have questioned his actions.
He condemned the activist’s use of emotional manipulation and unverified claims as tools to mislead the public.
Notably, Frances Ogbonnaya — the initial whistleblower in the unfolding controversy — had previously pointed out the activist’s ties to powerful political figures, though she stopped short of naming anyone.
