He cited an unfortunate incident that unfolded during the 60th-anniversary colloquium commemorating the Midwest Referendum celebration.
The event took place at the Sir Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub and Soundstage. During this incident, individuals claiming to be part of the Deputy Governor’s media crew allegedly attempted to gain unauthorized entry to the hall where the governor and other esteemed guests were seated.
Governor Obaseki expressed his dissatisfaction with this breach of accredited protocol established for media coverage of the event.
He lamented the orchestrated disruption and walkout, deeming them regrettable actions that contradicted the organized proceedings of the event.
Earlier on the same day, a minor scene unfolded at the colloquium venue when the deputy governor’s media team was instructed to vacate the event, an occurrence that led to some tension in the hall.
