Ekiti Governor Oyebanji Introduces Work-From-Home Policy For State Employees

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has approved a new work-from-home policy for state civil servants. The policy is designed to alleviate the impact of the current economic challenges on workers.

According to a statement from the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Yinka Oyebode, employees at levels 01-07 will work remotely three days a week, those at levels 08-12 will do so two days a week, and staff at levels 13-17 will work from home once a week. This arrangement, which begins on September 9, 2024, excludes essential workers such as teachers, health professionals, and security personnel.

Each Ministry, Department, and Agency (MDA) is expected to create a schedule to ensure the new policy does not disrupt service delivery. The policy will be in effect for two months and will be reviewed based on current circumstances.
