In a post on X, Fani-Kayode urged potential protesters to observe the situation in Sudan and understand the severe consequences of reckless actions and poor judgment. He warned that engaging in violence and attempting to change the government through rebellion and force will be met with strong resistance and could result in severe losses.

Fani-Kayode stated, “To those planning to cause disruption with their nationwide protest starting August 1, consider the turmoil in Sudan and the fallout of irresponsible actions and flawed reasoning. If you resort to violence and seek regime change through rebellion, you will face strong resistance, possibly lose more than you expect, and risk jeopardizing the nation’s stability. My advice is to pursue peace and, if protesting, do so peacefully and cautiously.”
