Fayose Makes Explosive Claim, Reveals Five APC Governors Allegedly Supporting NDC

Businessman Isaac Fayose has alleged that five governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress are secretly supporting the Nigeria Democratic Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Fayose made the claim in a post shared on his Instagram page on Sunday, where he alleged that the governors would not publicly identify with or campaign for the NDC because they remain members of the APC.

Fayose, however, claimed that the governors had privately pledged financial support for the NDC’s campaign. He further alleged that their major concern was preventing FCT Minister Nyesom Wike from securing electoral victories for the APC in the Federal Capital Territory and Rivers State.

According to Fayose, the alleged APC governors believe the NDC has stronger support in both locations and are concerned about the possibility of electoral manipulation. He claimed that the governors had indicated their willingness to provide financial assistance to polling agents in Rivers State and the FCT as part of efforts to protect the integrity of the voting process.

Fayose alleged that the proposed support would amount to ₦200,000 for polling agents at each polling unit in the two areas, with the stated objective of helping agents remain vigilant against alleged attempts to manipulate election results.

He also claimed that the governors had acknowledged concerns surrounding the conduct of elections in the affected areas and wanted measures put in place to prevent the alteration or announcement of results that did not reflect the actual votes cast.

The businessman did not publicly identify the five APC governors he alleged were supporting the NDC, and the claims about their alleged financial commitments were presented by Fayose without independent confirmation in the material provided.

The allegations come as political parties and their supporters intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections, with expected contests for the presidency, governorships and legislative seats likely to shape political alliances across the country.
