Yakub Mahmood, deputy director of public relations at NRC, announced the appointment in a statement on Sunday. Okhiria completed his second four-year term on October 18 and has officially handed over to Iloanusi.

Iloanusi, who joined the NRC in 2011, is the most senior executive director in the organization and has served as the deputy director of procurement since 2019. He holds a degree in political science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and an MBA in international management from South Bank University, London.

In his farewell remarks, Okhiria expressed gratitude to the NRC staff for their support during his tenure and encouraged them to extend the same cooperation to his successor.
