In his remarks, Keyamo revealed that the fear of reprisal attacks against their properties and family members by the unidentified gunmen is the primary reason for the elites’ silence. He emphasized that their silence should not be interpreted as support for the atrocities taking place but rather as a challenging situation for them.

Keyamo acknowledged having private conversations with his friends who admitted to sharing this concern. He urged against putting unnecessary pressure on the elites, emphasizing that it is the responsibility of the federal government, including that of President Tinubu to restore law and order throughout the country.
