Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Rajji Fashola breaks silence over the President-Elect, Tinubu holding dual citizenship.

Minister of Works and Housing under President Buhari’s administration, Fashola has spoken about the controversies surrounding the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

While in an interview with Seun Okin of Channels Tv, Fashola threw light on trending news of Tinubu owning a Guinea passport.

“Why is the man you were chief of staff to have so many controversies? I mean he has so much of controversies around him, I am hoping that you might be able to clear the air, controversy about his true age, controversy about his true educational status, controversy about his name, controversy about whether or not he has dual citizenship, controversy  about his past life in the United States, can you clear the air about this man?.” Seun Okin Tv anchor asked

“This is what makes it interesting, and I think those issues have been ventilated sufficiently, those issues don’t matter that what they have said by this vote and in making that choice. The only thing I can say to you is that every time it got more difficult, I use to tell people this was his path to success they is no way easy way, they is no easy day for him, the more difficult it gets the more u can assure it Asiwaju’s and I think for somebody who has faced all of this obstacles.”

“I remember when he wanted to be Governor, you may or may not recall for three days you couldn’t find the state party chairman and Lagos was in suspense for three days, they couldn’t find the returning officer.”

“I think the more difficult it gets, these hurdles and mountains maybe they is a divine purpose to it maybe perhaps this is where Nigeria begins to turn in the most positive way becomes sometimes this is just what it takes.” He replied.

“Governance is not about sainthood is about performance, is about delivery .”

“Those are issues that are settled because they are valued issues, society are built on them so i should not be misunderstood but again I realize that we should not be looking for saint, so all the accusations that have been levelled against him they are either unproven or they was no evidence in support of them but they have ran along for a while, I know one of them. They said he owns the oriental hotel he doesn’t, when that story broke, Dele Alake his image maker then went to him and said boss, this story is making the rounds, i should go and deny it, he said no.”, he added.
