Expressing deep concern over the prevalence of drug abuse among the youth and women in the state, Buhari underscored the need for a proactive approach to address the issue effectively.

“Our youths represent our beloved assets, and protecting them is crucial for our nation’s future. We can’t afford to watch drug abuse dismantle their potential and the country’s future,” he asserted.

The former president called for a collective and decisive action against drug abuse in Katsina State, urging all stakeholders not to turn a blind eye to the self-inflicted suffering of the youth.

Highlighting the significance of the youth as future leaders of the state, Buhari emphasized the immense potential they hold. He warned that such potential could be compromised if a significant number of them succumb to drug abuse.

“You cannot realize these potentials if too many of you succumb to drug abuse addiction. Believe in yourself, your ability, and your future. I know the challenges you face are many, be up to it; we’ll work together to offer you the support and the opportunity needed,” he encouraged.
