Full List Of African Nations Hit By New 3-Month U.S. Visa Rule

In a statement issued on Tuesday by the U.S. Embassy in Abuja, the American government confirmed that most non-diplomatic and non-immigrant visas issued to Nigerians will now be single-entry only and valid for just three months.
This policy took immediate effect on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, and applies to a broad category of Nigerian applicants intending to visit the U.S. for tourism, business, or other short-term purposes.
“These visa changes are now in effect,” the embassy stated, while clarifying that visas issued before July 8, 2025, will remain valid under their original terms.
