Expressing anguish over the prevalent insecurity, killings, and criminal activities in the state, residents urged Ganduje to exhibit democratic leadership and take decisive steps to restore the mandate that was allegedly stolen in Nasarawa.

A diverse group of women, carrying placards with various messages, decried the irony of the APC national chairman’s visit to commission a 1.7km street and a remodeled lodge. They found it absurd that such ceremonies were taking place, considering the escalating insecurity that has become a daily challenge in the state.

Governor Of Benue Assures Citizens Of Equitable Local Government Election Process

In Lafia, residents voiced their disappointment regarding the state’s inadequate development since Governor Abdullahi Sule assumed office, succeeding Almakura. They criticized Sule’s achievements as mere lip service with little tangible evidence.

Mrs. Fatima Adamu expressed her discontent, highlighting that the road constructions celebrated by Governor Sule, including those commissioned by the Vice President, Shettima, and the APC national chairman, amounted to less than 8km. She criticized the governor for portraying a false image of significant infrastructure development, contrasting it with other states where governors are commissioning hundreds of kilometers of roads and various infrastructure projects.

Residents called upon President Bola Tinubu to address the escalating insecurity that has plagued the state, leading to the reckless killing of citizens by bandits rampaging through the region. The plea emphasized the urgent need for effective measures to be taken to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents in the face of growing security challenges.
