Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has enacted four bills recently passed by the state’s House of Assembly, aimed at enhancing various facets of governance and development in the region.

The newly signed laws include the Enugu State Properties Protection Law, designed to bolster confidence in property investments by cracking down on land grabbers. Governor Mbah emphasized the law’s role in ensuring that property titles are secure and warned of stringent penalties for offenders.

Addressing concerns about the Enugu State Public Ranch Management Law, Mbah clarified that it aims to phase out open grazing rather than allocate lands to herders. He stressed the law’s focus on modernizing cattle management practices to prevent conflicts between farmers and herders.

Additionally, the Enugu State Environmental and Climate Protection Law underscores Mbah’s commitment to environmental sustainability, outlining clear policies to combat ozone layer depletion and other ecological threats.

Lastly, the Enugu State Sports Development Fund Law aims to boost grassroots sports talent development and stimulate economic growth through sports activities and infrastructure development.

Governor Mbah expressed gratitude to the House of Assembly members for their diligence in passing these bills, highlighting their collective effort to advance Enugu State’s investment, business, leisure, and living environments.
