I Go Broke In Three Months: Carter Efe Laments Cost Of Dating American Girlfriend

Nigerian comedian and livestreamer Carter Efe has expressed frustration over the financial demands of dating his American girlfriend, Jasmine, joking that he could go broke if their relationship continues at its current pace for another three months.

The entertainer made the remarks during a livestream at the airport, where he was seen helping Jasmine with her luggage as she prepared to leave. While accompanying her, Carter Efe complained about the cost of maintaining the relationship and compared the spending habits of American women with those of Nigerian women.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the comedian suggested that his girlfriend’s expensive taste was becoming difficult for him to sustain financially, prompting him to jokingly consider returning to single life.

“American girls are wiser than Nigerian girls, their taste is high. If I continue like this for three months, I go broke oo, na why I follow am come airport make she dey go,” he said.

Carter Efe also expressed exhaustion over repeatedly carrying his girlfriend’s bags, joking that people might be surprised to see him performing such a task.

“Make she leave abeg, una know how many times I don carry bag, I don carry bag tire. I’m sure most of you will be shocked that Carter Efe is carrying a woman’s bag,” he added.

The comedian further suggested that he was ready to return to his single lifestyle, making light of what he portrayed as the financial and personal demands of the relationship.

His comments have drawn attention to his relationship with Jasmine, although it remains unclear whether his remarks reflected genuine concerns or were largely intended as humour during the livestream.
