I’m Not For Everyone’ — Mummy Wa Reveals The Kind Of People She Attracts

Nigerian content creator and Nollywood actress Kemi Ikuseedun, popularly known as Mummy Wa, has dismissed suggestions that being a strong and independent woman negatively affects her romantic relationships.

Speaking in an interview with Punch, the actress said she does not give attention to people who feel intimidated by strong women.

According to her, she attracts men who are confident enough to appreciate and embrace a strong woman.

She said, “I would say no because only people who are mentally secure will be attracted to me. I don’t entertain people who are intimidated by strong women. I attract men who love strong women.”

Discussing her career, Ikuseedun identified consistency as one of the biggest challenges of working as a creative, particularly when juggling multiple projects and ideas.

She explained that creatives must continue to show up for projects they have already started while simultaneously working on new ideas.

According to her, the pressure of maintaining consistency while trying to improve on previous achievements can be demanding.

On the challenges confronting creatives in Nigeria, Mummy Wa identified funding as one of the biggest obstacles, noting that many creative ideas require substantial financial resources to become reality.

She explained that while passion, creativity and ideas may be readily available, the lack of adequate funding can make it difficult for creatives to execute their plans.

The actress added that the financial pressure sometimes forces creatives to question whether they should continue pursuing their passion or switch to other ventures that could provide greater financial returns with less stress.
