Tajani further expressed his hope that ECOWAS would seek diplomatic solutions to address the crisis rather than resorting to military intervention.
He stated, “The optimal approach is through diplomacy. I am optimistic that the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) will consider extending the ultimatum, which expired at midnight last night.”
It was previously reported that Niger had temporarily closed its airspace due to concerns about potential military intervention from the West African regional bloc.
