Jarvis Breaks Down Difficult Childhood, Reveals Mother’s Ailment And How She Met Peller

Nigerian content creator Jarvis has opened up about her challenging childhood, revealing how growing up without knowing her father and having a mother living with bipolar disorder shaped her early life.

Jarvis shared the experience during a recent interactive session at Pastor Tobi Adegboyega’s church in the United Kingdom, where she spoke about the hardships her family faced while growing up.

The content creator said she was largely raised by her grandparents, whom she described as strict but credited with providing structure and helping her cope with the difficulties surrounding her upbringing.

According to Jarvis, her family struggled financially at certain points, making it difficult to pay her school fees and meet basic needs. She also recalled that hunger became a regular part of their childhood experience.

She explained that she and her siblings would sometimes watch food-related videos on TikTok in an attempt to satisfy their cravings when there was little or nothing to eat, describing the period as emotionally difficult.

Jarvis said she eventually discovered TikTok livestreaming after a friend introduced her to the platform. She recalled that her first livestream, which she did alongside her sister, attracted about 200 viewers and earned her approximately $5.

Despite opposition from her family, she said she and her sister continued livestreaming because they needed money to support their education and take care of some basic necessities.

Jarvis also recounted how she met her husband, Peller, through a livestream. She explained that Peller initially appeared interested in her sister but later began showing interest in her.

She said she initially encouraged Peller to direct his attention toward her sister because she believed her sister was more suited to him. At the time, Jarvis said she only saw their interaction as an opportunity to create content and maintain a friendship.

However, she noted that she never expected their relationship to eventually develop into a romantic one or lead to marriage.

Her revelation has attracted attention, particularly because of the contrast between the difficult circumstances she described from her childhood and her present life as a prominent content creator.
