Lady Sparks Reactions After Friend Questions ₦100k In ₦500k Club Cash Gift

A Nigerian lady has recounted how a disagreement with her friend allegedly led to insults and a block after she shared ₦100,000 from a ₦500,000 cash gift she received from a man at a nightclub.

According to the lady, her friend had accompanied her to the club because she was bored but remained seated some distance away from her after they arrived.

She said an unidentified man later gave her a bundle of cash worth ₦500,000, adding that she believed the man may have been attracted to her and did not notice her friend before giving her the money.

The lady explained that her friend subsequently asked her to share part of the cash with her. Although she initially told her friend to wait until they returned home, she later decided to give her ₦100,000.

However, the gesture reportedly resulted in an unexpected disagreement after her friend questioned the amount she received.

According to her account, she told her friend that ₦100,000 was still a substantial amount and wondered why she was unhappy with the money. She claimed that her friend subsequently blocked her and began insulting her.

The lady further stated that she had not spent any of the ₦500,000 herself before deciding to give her friend ₦100,000, explaining that she only wanted her to have something to keep temporarily.

She expressed surprise at her friend’s reaction, stressing that she was not under any obligation to share the money but chose to do so voluntarily.

The incident has since sparked conversations about expectations between friends, particularly over whether someone who receives a personal cash gift should be expected to share it with others.
