asserts that the Village Head of Dan Gulam in Gwaram Local Government Area of Jigawa State forcibly engaged in sexual relations with the lady, leading to her pregnancy.
Ibrahim, upon being contacted by journalists, denied the accusation. The notification of his impending arraignment sent to the Emirate firmly states that the alleged rape offense committed by the monarch is in violation of section 3 (1) (A and D) of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Law 2021.
It is reported that the emirate has experienced pressure to suppress the matter, despite appeals and the state government’s intervention through the Attorney General’s office.
As per the contents of the letter, the monarch had instigated a lawsuit for defamation of character against the girl, her father, and an individual named Sule Umar from Dangulam village in the Upper Shari’a Court Gwaram.
However, a comprehensive investigation into the monarch’s actions has been initiated by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Jigawa State Police Command on charges of criminal conspiracy and rape.
The letter is as follows: “I have been instructed by the Honorable Attorney General of Jigawa State to compose this letter and inform your Highness that a complaint alleging rape and HIV infection was submitted to the Office of the Honorable Attorney General by one Ya’u Muhammad ‘m.’
In this complaint, he alleged that Umar Ibrahim (Village Head of Dan Gulam) had engaged in unlawful sexual intercourse with his daughter.
