A group of ex-governors, including James Ibori (Delta), Donald Duke (Cross River), Orji Kalu (Abia), Victor Attah (Akwa Ibom), Adamu Mu’azu (Bauchi), Sam Egwu (Ebonyi), Chimaroke Nnamani (Enugu), and Ibrahim Turaki (Jigawa), gathered at the State House to express solidarity with President Tinubu.

Tinubu, who served as the governor of Lagos State from May 1999 to 2007, assumed office as Nigeria’s President on May 29, 2023. The former governors also included Niyi Adebayo (Ekiti), Bisi Akande (Osun), Joshua Dariye (Plateau), Ahmed Yerima (Zamfara), Jolly Nyame (Taraba), Olusegun Osoba (Ogun), and Attahiru Bafarawa (Sokoto).
