Lola Ade-John, 60, a seasoned banker and tech investor, was swiftly admitted to the Federal Medical Centre in Jabi as soon as symptoms of poisoning surfaced. She has been under intensive care for the past four days, with machines aiding her breathing, family insiders reported to The Gazette.
With the exact details surrounding the poisoning still murky, Bushradiogist has yet to ascertain the specific substance she might have ingested or how. Both the police and the State Security Service have remained tight-lipped, with no immediate updates on whether an investigation has been initiated.
This unsettling episode has heightened tensions between Ms Ade-John’s family and the government. The minister’s family and Ngozi Onwudike, the permanent secretary of her ministry, are at odds over the decision on her medical treatment. The bone of contention?
