The tragic incident occurred on December 5 when villagers were celebrating a Muslim festival, and a combat drone operated by the Nigerian Army mistakenly dropped a bomb on them.
Despite the heart-wrenching event, residents, including both Muslims and Christians, observed Christmas in unity by attending a church service. The Christian members of the community welcomed their Muslim neighbors into the service, expressing gratitude for surviving the incident and being able to celebrate Christmas despite the loss of their loved ones in the Kaduna bombing.
The Defence Headquarters initiated an investigation into the accidental bombing, acknowledging the need to understand the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
During the Christmas service, Governor Uba Sani, represented by his Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, extended condolences to the people of Tudun Biri. In a show of solidarity, Governor Sani used the occasion to empathize with the community, recognizing the pain caused by the unfortunate incident.
