Sadiq Kura also highlighted efforts to support entrepreneurship and handicraft in Doguwa, Tudunwada, and Sumaila local governments to reduce forest resource damage. World Rangers Day honors those who protect wildlife and forests, often at great personal risk. Director of Zoo Services, Hajiya Hafsat Bello Adam, reported that approximately 140 rangers from 37 countries have died this year while safeguarding forest resources.

In related news, Muhammadu Sanusi II, the 16th Emir of Kano, criticized security forces for their handling of recent attacks on public and private properties during the #EndBadGovernance protests. Speaking at Kano Printing Press, The NCC Digital Industrial Park, and Barakat Stores, Sanusi claimed that security operatives were aware of the planned attacks but failed to prevent them. He condemned those responsible and expressed hope for the restoration of the affected properties. The Commissioner of the Ministry of Science and Technology and ICT, Muhammad Tajo Othman, assured that efforts are underway to repair the damaged buildings and recover looted items.
