Lady Goes From Work To Market To Cook For Talking Stage, Then Ends Relationship

A Nigerian lady has reportedly ended her talking stage with a man after an encounter at his residence left her disappointed by what she described as his lack of care and consideration.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the woman said she had been at work when she asked the man what he wanted to eat, and he requested Ofada rice with ayamase sauce.

After closing from work, she reportedly went to the market and purchased assorted ingredients, including goat meat, beef, green peppers and other items needed to prepare the meal.

She said her journey to the man’s residence was far from easy, as she was caught in heavy rainfall and arrived drenched, cold and shaking. Despite the difficult weather, she continued to his house because she had already decided to prepare the meal for him.

According to her account, the man’s initial reaction when she arrived was, “Ah ah, you still came in this heavy rain?” However, the lady said she expected more concern from him after arriving in such a condition.

She claimed that instead of helping her get comfortable or offering her something warm to wear, she had to request a change of clothes herself. While she was getting changed, the man allegedly asked when she would begin cooking because he was hungry.

The woman eventually proceeded to the kitchen and spent more than an hour preparing the Ofada rice and ayamase sauce. She said that throughout the process, the man remained in the living room watching television and using his phone.

After preparing the meal, the lady said she packed the entire ayamase sauce into two large containers, leaving only the white rice behind. In her words, “He can eat it with his phone and TV.”

She subsequently blocked the man across her social media platforms and ended their relationship, saying the experience was enough to convince her that he was not the right person for her.

Explaining her decision, she said she had already realised that the man was not suitable for her and did not need to spend months trying to convince herself otherwise.

The incident has since generated reactions, with social media users weighing in on expectations, consideration and acts of service during the early stages of romantic relationships.
