Lady Sparks Reactions After Crying Out: I Just Hate This Country

A Nigerian lady has expressed frustration over the persistent electricity challenges in the country, claiming that prolonged power outages have negatively affected her work, job opportunities and ability to create content.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the lady made the remarks in a video circulating on social media after experiencing another power outage while attempting to complete a makeup video.

She explained that she normally prefers not to make videos when dealing with personal difficulties but decided to speak publicly after the electricity situation disrupted her work and creative activities.

Questioning why reliable electricity remains difficult to access in Nigeria in 2026, she claimed that poor power supply has caused some people to miss job interviews, foreign work opportunities and other professional engagements.

The lady recalled her experience as a writer, saying she previously had to visit a friend’s house to charge her laptop so she could complete assignments and meet deadlines while working for clients based in the United States.

She said the electricity situation recently affected her participation in the Face of Beauty by AD contest after the lighting equipment she was using for a makeup video ran out of power.

According to her, she had already begun applying her makeup and was halfway through filming when the lights went off, leaving her unable to recharge her equipment.

The lady further claimed that residents in her area rarely enjoy electricity and that even when power is restored, the supply is sometimes too weak to operate essential appliances and equipment effectively.

She said the unreliable power supply has also affected her ability to produce makeup and fashion content, particularly because the lack of electricity makes it difficult to manage the heat and maintain suitable conditions for filming.

She added that she has been forced to spend part of her limited income on fuel after being unable to charge her equipment because of power outages.

Expressing deeper concern about the impact of the situation on her wellbeing and career, the lady said the persistent electricity challenges were affecting her mental health, productivity and ability to pursue her personal ambitions.

She ended her emotional outburst by expressing strong dissatisfaction with the situation in the country, saying she had become deeply frustrated by the circumstances surrounding her.
