Lagos Teacher Docked For Alleged Defilement Of 3-Year-Old Pupil

The Lagos State Police Command presented Adeyemi, a resident of 23, Salisu Lawal Mobil Road, Ilaje-Ajah, Lagos, to the court for the alleged offence of indecent sexual assault. ASP Raji Akeem, the prosecutor, informed the court that the incident occurred on September 22, 2023, at a private school located on Mobil Road, Ajah, Lagos.
Akeem stated that the victim, a three-year-old girl, was reportedly assaulted by her teacher. He added that this action contravenes the stipulations of Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Mrs. Bola Osunsanmi, the Chief Magistrate, granted the defendant bail in the amount of N500,000 with two sureties of equal sum.
Osunsanmi then adjourned the case until April 22 to await legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
