In an interview with Liberty TV, Tuggar criticized Governor Mohammed for his recent remarks against President Bola Tinubu’s administration, urging him to concentrate on governance.

The minister stated, “When it comes to financial matters, the governor should refrain from commenting because his earnings and allocations have doubled, yet there has been no improvement in his administration.”

Tuggar further revealed that Governor Mohammed received ₦8.8 billion in federal allocation in October 2024, followed by an additional ₦9 billion in November, but has not provided any accountability for these funds.

“Instead of using these funds for social services and infrastructure, such as education, healthcare, and addressing the growing number of out-of-school children, he is investing them in acquiring properties and land from poor citizens of Bauchi. This impacts both the wealthy and the less fortunate,” Tuggar alleged.

He also claimed that Governor Mohammed has been targeting homes in Government Reserved Areas (GRA) and evicting residents under the pretense of state projects, which he described as a scheme to siphon funds from the state treasury.

“All the governor is doing is buying houses from the GRA. He evicts people from their homes with promises of development projects, but it’s just another means of diverting state funds,” Tuggar concluded.
