Kennedy-Ohanenye pleaded with the public to actively assist in locating Chukelu-Okafor, emphasizing the urgency of the situation as the victim is currently hospitalized and in considerable pain. She urged Nigerians to be proactive in reporting any relevant information to the police or the Ministry of Women Affairs.
The minister stressed the severity of the allegations against the lawyer, detailing the use of a hot-pressing iron and a knife to inflict harm, particularly on the child’s private parts. Expressing concern for the well-being of the victim, Kennedy-Ohanenye urged citizens not to remain passive and to consider the gravity of the situation as it could involve anyone’s child or relative.
