Despite the completion of the autopsy on September 21, 2023, the official release of the results is still pending. Various celebrities took to social media to remember Mohbad on his posthumous birthday. Big Brother Naija’s Tasha, Bella Shmurda, Bad Boy Timz, Seyi Vibez, and others posted heartfelt messages and pictures in his honor.

Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa had earlier named prime suspects linked to the singer’s death, revealing that Mohbad developed adverse reactions after being injected by a nurse.

As of November 18, 2023, singer Bella Shmurda appealed to the police for the release of Mohbad’s remains, expressing concern over the prolonged delay. The police reiterated that the release would occur either upon the family lawyer’s request or when independently given to the police.
