Napoli Chief Rejects PSG’s Mega €200m Bid For Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia – Sh*cking Reason Revealed

In an interview with Corriere della Sera, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed that Paris Saint-Germain had made a massive €200 million offer for Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but he turned it down out of loyalty to new head coach Antonio Conte.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

I could have sold them at that time. PSG put over €200 million on the table for both Kvara and Osimhen,” De Laurentiis disclosed. “But I had already promised Conte that I would keep them, and I didn’t want to go back on my word. The plan with that money was to sign Gyokeres.”

The outspoken president also shed light on Kvaratskhelia’s eventual departure to PSG in January for €75 million, explaining that the move was forced by the player’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, who threatened to activate FIFA’s Article 17 clause to secure the transfer.

“I had no choice but to let him go because his agent threatened to invoke Article 17,” De Laurentiis explained. “After his extraordinary debut season, we immediately offered him a contract extension with a pay rise and a significant bonus. But Jugeli had other plans for himself and the player.”

According to De Laurentiis, Jugeli deliberately stalled talks during Euro 2024 in Germany, while also spreading false claims about broken promises from former sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli.

Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia had been the driving forces behind Napoli’s historic 2022/23 Serie A title win, their first in 33 years. Osimhen finished as top scorer, while Kvaratskhelia was crowned league MVP for his dazzling displays.

However, their fairytale partnership has since ended. Kvaratskhelia sealed a blockbuster switch to PSG in January, while Osimhen completed a permanent move to Galatasaray this summer for €75 million after an initial loan spell.
