Nationwide Protest Called Off As Nigerian Labour Leaders Hold Fruitful Talks With President Tinubu

The Labour Leaders expressed confidence in his commitment to address the issues raised by the Labour Movement and opted for further constructive engagement with the government to resolve all outstanding matters affecting workers and Nigerians in general.

During the meeting, President Tinubu assured the Labour leaders that the Port Harcourt refineries would resume production by December 2023, following the ongoing rehabilitation contract between the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) and the Italian firm, Maire Tecnimont SpA.

President Tinubu also pledged to work in the best interest of Nigeria, while urging the Labour leaders to collaborate with him in building a better and economically prosperous country.
