Governor Bago emphasized the strategic importance of Niger State as a gateway connecting the Northern and Southern regions of Nigeria.
He stressed that enhancing the state’s infrastructure would yield significant benefits, not only for the state itself but also for the entire country.
The governor expressed his gratitude to the IsDB and ADFD for their collaboration in co-financing the Minna-Bida road project.
He underscored the state’s vast potential, including its size, the presence of four hydro dams, and its eight national and international borders, which serve as attractive attributes to draw in investors.
However, Governor Umaru Bago voiced his concern regarding the prevailing issues of insecurity and infrastructure deficiencies that persist in the state, despite its numerous potentials.
