Nigerian Army And DSS Uncover IPOB Hideouts In Delta State, Arrest One Member

Today, on July 22, 2023, a joint operation conducted by the Nigerian Army and the Department of State Services (DSS) successfully uncovered hideouts of members belonging to the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Delta State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
During the operation in Asaba, the capital of Delta State, many IPOB members fled their various camps when confronted by the security operatives in a gunfire exchange.

Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu, the spokesman of the Nigerian Army, confirmed the encounter and revealed that the security forces also recovered a significant amount of ammunition from the IPOB enclaves.
The seized items included 5 AK 47 rifles, three pump-action semi-automatic rifles, one G3 rifle, one single-barrel gun, live cartridges, an electric saw, machetes, an axe, and an IPOB flag.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, Nwachukwu emphasized the Army’s commitment to rid Nigeria of criminal elements and protect the nation’s peace.
The Chief of Army Staff, Maj.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, had ordered the security forces to be resolute in dealing with those posing threats to the country.
Lagbaja lauded the gallant troops and other security agencies involved in the ongoing operations, urging them to sustain the momentum and restore sanity in the region.
