Nnamdi Kanu Claims: My Freedom Will Bring Immediate End To South-East Insecurity (VIDEO)
The incarcerated leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has expressed his conviction that peace will swiftly return to the South East region once he is released from prison.
Kanu made these remarks on Tuesday, March 19, following the rejection of his bail plea by the Federal High Court. Addressing reporters, Kanu attributed the persistent insecurity in the South East to his detention.
“Those perpetrating criminal acts cannot escape justice. I vow it. No one engaging in criminal activities in the East will go unpunished. They are emboldened because I am in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS). If I were free, no one would dare to do this. I suspect some individuals within the government are involved. They profit from the insecurity,” Kanu asserted.
He added, “They know that with my release, this chaos would cease within minutes. Who dares to oppose my directives? I will issue orders in the East, and who will dare to countermand them? Nobody can. I am Nnamdi Kanu. Anyone engaging in violence in the East under the guise of IPOB is doomed, and they are aware of it. Let me be free from this predicament, and within two minutes, peace will prevail in the East.”
