The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has denied reports suggesting that some party governors were granted automatic tickets.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

He made the clarification during an interview on Arise News on Friday, where he addressed concerns about alleged automatic nominations and perceived inconsistencies within the party.

Morka maintained that no APC governor was handed a guaranteed nomination, stressing that all candidates secured their tickets either through competitive primaries or consensus arrangements.

According to him, “First, about automatic tickets. You’re the one telling me. I’m not aware of any governor who got automatic tickets. All our governors either have emerged through a competitive process or through a consensus model, depending on where they are. We didn’t have any ticket that was given on a platter. Every governor who won these primaries competed at primaries.”

He further explained that the party adopted a direct primary system for the presidential ticket because one of the aspirants purchased nomination forms and expressed interest in contesting.

“About the presidential primary, yes, we opted for the direct primary model because a citizen bought our form and indicated interest in running for president. We decided to allow party members across all wards nationwide to participate and vote either for the incumbent president or the other aspirant. We expect the process to produce an outcome determined by the people,” he added.
