Northern Governors Convene Closed-Door Meeting With NSA Ribadu And Security Chiefs....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Governors of the 19 Northern States recently convened in Abuja for a closed-door meeting with National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu and Service Chiefs. The meeting, held at the Office of the NSA, commenced at 2:00 p.m., with details remaining undisclosed.

Speculation suggests that the meeting might be linked to the recent surge in abductions of students and citizens across the region. This includes the abduction of 287 students from schools in Kaduna, 112 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Borno, and the kidnapping of 15 Quranic school students in Sokoto. Banditry and terrorist activities have intensified in states like Katsina, Zamfara, and Kaduna, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.

In a separate security development, the Senate, along with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Commissioner of Police Benneth Igwe, held a closed-door session in Abuja to address mounting security concerns within the nation’s capital. During Wednesday’s plenary, the Senate postponed its agenda to prioritize the crucial security meeting. Deputy Senate Leader Oyelola Ashiru presented a motion, which received support from the Minority Leader.
