Initially set for February 14, 2024, the resumption date has been shifted to February 16, 2024.
Davidson Owumi, the NPFL Chief Operating Officer, made this announcement in a communication addressed to all participating clubs.
Owumi highlighted that the adjustment aims to uphold sporting equity by ensuring no club carries over fixture debts from the first round.
“In order to ensure fairness to all clubs, we hereby inform you that the new date for Matchday 20, originally scheduled for February 14, 2024, will now span the weekend from Friday, February 16, 2024, to Sunday, February 18, 2024,” part of the statement read.
In a related development, Rivers United will square off against Shooting Stars in a rescheduled Matchday 15 encounter in Ibadan on Saturday.
The match is slated to kick off at 4pm at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
