In an official statement, the FCT Police Command emphasized that the police division itself was not burned. Instead, the fire was confined to the container compartment at the Nyanya checkpoint.
The statement also mentioned that an attempt to vandalize the Tipper Garage Police Post was prevented, resulting in the arrest of four individuals: Mathias Jude, 29, from Nyanya Area D; Mohammad Ahmed, 23; Abba Jibril, 18; and Mohammad Haruna, 18.
