Ogun Banker Reported Missing Tracked Down In Niger State

The joyful revelation was made by Temitope, the wife of the banker who also works at a microfinance bank in Onikolobo, Abeokuta. She shared the good news with our correspondent on Thursday.
Temitope recounted, “I am delighted to inform you that my husband has been found in Mokwa, Niger State. He made contact with me on Tuesday afternoon, having acquired a phone from a resident in Mokwa since his abductors had taken his own. We advised him to report the incident to the local police, and the officer on duty confirmed his presence in Mokwa.”
She continued, “Transportation funds were promptly arranged and sent to him. He arrived in Ibadan on Wednesday, where he spent the night. His family members are currently in Ibadan, and he is expected to return to Abeokuta today.”
Temitope had previously alerted our correspondent on Sunday about her husband’s disappearance, expressing concern as he failed to return home after leaving for work on Wednesday, January 17.
A WhatsApp message had circulated announcing the missing banker, a father of one, and a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Strong Tower Zonal Headquarters, Ogun Province 28. The message sought help in locating Mr. Olumide Openaike and highlighted the shock and confusion within the RCCG Ogun 28 brethren and his family.
SP Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, had confirmed the incident earlier in the week, stating that the police were actively involved in spreading awareness to locate Mr. Openaike and reunite him with his family.
