IPOB Accuses Buhari Of Attempted Assassination On Nnamdi Kanu’s Father

IPOB spokesperson, Emma Powerful, dismissed Adesina’s assertions, labeling them as mere bluster. Powerful contended that Buhari’s administration was well aware of the repercussions of eliminating Kanu. He suggested that Adesina included the mention of Kanu in his book to boost sales, asserting that the book had become akin to toilet paper and deemed unworthy of purchase.

The statement from IPOB asserted that Buhari’s government attempted to assassinate Kanu when they attacked his father’s house, an endeavor that purportedly failed. The group expressed satisfaction that the assassination plan did not succeed and accused Adesina of seeking praise by including Kanu in his book.

The statement emphasized the lack of tangible development in Nigeria after eight years of governance, criticizing the Buhari administration as the most disliked in the country’s history. It warned that any attempt to murder Kanu would result in severe consequences that would shake the foundation of the Nigerian state.

IPOB also highlighted Adesina’s disclosure that Kanu was arrested and extradited to Nigeria for trial, pointing out the revelation of what they described as the devilish agenda of the Buhari administration. The group concluded by affirming that the Nigerian government cannot eliminate Kanu without facing far-reaching consequences.
