Oyinlomo Diamond Raises Alarm Over BBO’s Silence After Toluwanisings D*ath

Nigerian singer Abimbola Olayemi, popularly known as Oyinlomo Diamond, has expressed concern over the prolonged silence of her colleague, BBO, following the death of gospel singer Bayonile Bolaji, widely known as Toluwanisings.

Toluwanisings reportedly died on October 14, 2026, after collapsing at his residence. His sudden death shocked fans, colleagues and members of the gospel music community, particularly because he had reportedly attended a music concert just hours before the incident.

According to Bush Radio Academy, BBO, who was a close friend of the late singer, has largely stayed away from public appearances and social media since the tragedy. He attended Toluwanisings’ tribute night on Tuesday but reportedly covered his face to avoid media attention and declined to speak at the gathering.

Reacting to the development in an Instagram post on Wednesday, Oyinlomo Diamond appealed to BBO to prioritise his health and emotional well-being, expressing fears that the grief surrounding his friend’s death could take a toll on him.

The singer acknowledged that BBO might need time away from the public to process the loss, describing his silence as understandable while encouraging him not to allow grief and excessive thinking to negatively affect his health.

Oyinlomo Diamond also stressed that the gospel music industry could not afford to lose another talented individual, urging BBO to take time to reflect, rest and recover emotionally.

She wrote, “I hope you know we can’t afford to lose you too. Dear BBO @officialbbo_ I hope you are fine? I understand this silence. I love how genuine you are even in death. I love how you didn’t chase clout with his death.”

She further encouraged him to take as much time as necessary to reflect, grieve and stay away from social media if that would help him cope with the loss. According to her, Toluwanisings’ sudden death could change the way many hardworking young people view life.

Oyinlomo Diamond also reminded BBO that the late singer’s immediate family would need his support during the difficult period, urging him to look after himself so he could be there for those mourning their loved one.

Her message has drawn attention to the emotional challenges that can follow the sudden loss of a close friend, with the singer emphasising the importance of rest, emotional support and protecting one’s well-being while grieving.
