Adeyanju highlights an audio leak that went viral, where Obi is heard describing the election as a religious war during a conversation with Bishop David Oyedepo. Adeyanju’s statement reflects the sentiments of those who perceive Obi’s actions as promoting religious division and bias in the political arena. He also criticizes the All Progressives Congress (APC) for using a “Mu-Mu ticket” (Muslim-Muslim ticket) but allegedly not campaigning in any mosque.

“I was the only Nigerian courageous enough to challenge the religious bigotry of Peter Obi and people like you during the last election. I also effectively condemned the Muslim-Muslim ticket of APC.”

These allegations and criticisms have sparked a heated debate among Nigerians, with some expressing agreement with Adeyanju’s views, while others defend Obi and question the validity and intentions behind the leaked audio.
