Speaking on Arise News’ PrimeTime show on April 2, 2025, Abbo questioned the legality of Natasha’s suspension and criticized Akpabio’s handling of the situation. He recalled a past incident where Akpabio had a verbal altercation with then-Senate President Bukola Saraki over a seat, which was resolved maturely without suspension.

Abbo argued that Akpabio’s decision to suspend Natasha, withdraw her security, and halt her salary was unfair and dangerous, as it exposed her to potential harm. He stated, “Withdrawing someone’s security is akin to exposing them to be killed.” Abbo also noted that the Inspector General of Police (IG) acknowledged the risks involved.

Additionally, Abbo highlighted that Natasha had secured a court injunction preventing the Senate from investigating her alleged misconduct, but the Senate proceeded with her suspension regardless, which he described as contempt of court. He criticized the subsequent court decision to vacate the order, suggesting that the judge acted out of fear.

Commenting on the planned recall of Natasha from the 10th Senate, Abbo dismissed it as a fraudulent attempt, asserting that no one could successfully recall the suspended senator. He urged Natasha to continue her work, emphasizing that the recall effort was based on forged signatures.
